The Belfast Transport Hub (BTH) is a £multi-million investment by Northern Ireland’s Department for Infrastructure that will be at the heart of an exciting new city neighbourhood called ‘Weavers Cross’ with imaginative mixed-use development proposals. As a transport-led regeneration project to create a new world class multi-model hub, including a combined rail and bus station, to replace the existing separate rail and bus station located on the same site, it is a hugely important Northern Ireland Executive Flagship Project and a key driver of economic growth and prosperity for Belfast and Northern Ireland.
As well as being a key part of the project delivery team, providing project and design management services for rail systems, BTTC provided expert advisory services. We were engaged by Translink to facilitate a step change in its contracting methodology with a transition to a collaborative procurement and contracting model and provided recommendations and options for how collaboration could be promoted within the transaction phase of the project.
